When braking, my steering wheel shakes like mad. Warped rotors I guess. Anyways, my KVR pads from PDM came in and I need to go to the parts store. Rotors are about $25 a piece.
Should I just get the fronts or do it all? I would ike to save $50 if possible. Can I visually tell which is defective?

rotors are $25 a piece? damn, what kind are you getting? because that seems extremely cheap to me.
when my rotors were warped they made a grinding noise when i applied my brakes. you can get the rotors turned or reground by any brakes place, probably about $50 for all four rotors. the only way you will need to replace them is if they are just extremely warn or have been turned several times.

I'd save the money and just do the fronts for now. They do most of the work so rears aren't as prone to warpage or other problems that cause vibration.

The other thing it might be up front are glazed rotors - this happens when pad material from low quality pads bonds to the rotor. If you drive hard w/ el cheapo pads, this can happen very easily. You'll be able to spot it by shiny or dark smooth spots on the rotor that you could chip off if you worked at it. I hear emory cloth will take it right off.

replace, don't bother turning them.

don't use high temp pads on a street car. they will not work as well as an OE pad, and shorten the rotor life.

KVR are not really that high temp. And everyone says they work fine for a street car and are quite rotor friendly
I do plan on replacing the front rotors now. I'll just resurface the rears cause I am getting new pads.

As far as I've heard, the "Brembo" rotors sold at Nopi.com are NOT brembos; they're either cheating you or have made a typo. I don't remember the actual name of the manufacturer though.

the way you can tell if its from the front or rear is by simply applying the hand brake and see if the problem is there when you apply it that way or just when you put your foot on the brake. btw warped rotors will cause pedal pulsation not steering shake.

turning rotors isnt bad as long as they are within spec's.

*edit* or if you have a dial indicator you can tell if the rotors are warped but i dont think everyone wants to dump 180 into one

they are in fact Bradi rotors. A sister company of Brembo. Quality is fine. Ask Steve (240 2NR) about them as he just installed a set last week.
