SR: Pour in tranny fluid..goes out the other end!

hey guys..
Yesterday I was filling my sr20det tranny up with some fluid( pouring it in from the shifter) and it started coming out the tail end where the driveline is. RIght now I dont have my driveline installed...does it have to be in to "seal" it up/?? help~!

if by "driveline" you mean "driveshaft"..... yes. it has to be in there is a seal around the driveshaft input side that seals the oil from comming out.
