Does anyone know how Zilvia.net got started ??
is there a link I can follow to get the answers, and how long has this forum been active. Did it originally start as a local group of friends or what ?

Started some time in 2001 I belive, or at least thats when West registered.

Zilvia.net as you now know it is the culmination of many years of shady forums and different site names.  You see back in 1997 a young upstart in the 240sx community named WeST was shunned by fellow enthusiust for his off the wall ideas of what the ideal 240SX forum would be like. Down on his luck and almost broke he and a fellow friend (boostaholic) started a small site (www.ikonboard.com/240SX4EVA) Unfortunatly a year into that sites making WeST relized that the site was mistaken for a gay meet site for men 240 lbs or over. By this time it was almost 1999 and the internjet was really taking off. Realizing that real money can be made in porn WeST and Boostaholic grabbed an old run down server and started peddling smut. This lasted a year with the undisclosed site making them big money but alas as WeST learned the porn industry is controlled by the mob. So he succumbed to the mobs threats and shut down the porn site. Now it was the winter of 2001, with a broken arm and some left over cash he decided it was time to go back to his roots. WeST put all his effort into one last foray in a 240SX site. He slaved and toiled til near the end of May 2001 he created Zilvia.net and the reast is history.

Anyways... the site itself was started in Aug 99 or sometime around then. I came from many many years on the 240sx Mailing List and Twinturbo.net and wanted a forum for the 240SX's, so it started. The forum itself started with the wonderfull Ezboard.com bullshit and I soon realized that it was the lamest forum in the world. So I found the free software Ikonshit. So I started that when it was v2 or something and recently upgraded to 3, with all the problems it give were soon to move to vBulletin.
