Reddish Purple Pearl Metallic - Zilvia.net Forums | Nissan 240SX (Silvia) and Z (Fairlady) Car Forum

Okay, I dont have a 240, but there is one going to auction tomorrow that my dads friend was looking at for me.  The only problem is.... the color was described as purple.  So i went to edmunds.com and found out that it is Reddish Purple Pearl Metallic.  I dont know what this looks like, is it girly?  I definatly want a 240, but not one that people are gonna see as girly gay purple.  Thanks... just give me any opinions on this color.

issed:'> Easy there buddy.  Well I am a owner of one the purple S14's.  Now I think we are on the same page here because I dont know how many shades of purple Nissan came out with in 95'.  Now you did not specify what year the 240 was, but I dont recall seeing S13's in purple straight outta the factory.  When I bought my 240, I wasn't to concerned with the color, AND you shouldn't be either if you really like the car.  The purple is not gay, but is not that great on bright sunny days.  When it is darker outside  it looks really nice.  At night, its BLACK!  If you really like the car just get it and paint it if you cant stand the color.

actually..the purple color base 240 is tyte..when i was lookin around to buy a 240..i came across a purple one..that a dealer was trying to sell on the net..and the picture he took of the purple 240 looked hella nice..it looks like a deep dark purple in the night..of course cuz its night time..but it still looks nice..i think dark dark purple looks tyte

i've got a purple s14, it's neither blurple (tho i wish it were) nor greyple, it's more rubyple... if you can pronounce that

looks hella cool, the only downside is that the engine bay and trunk area on mine (and i think all others) is red like beissen's w/o clearcoat
