my battery light came on and hids started flashing then the car shut off.. any ideas.. also there was a buzzing sound under the dash

1) battery
2) alternator

Did you really need to ask?

Yeah do those things for sure, battery and alternator, but also check your ignition relay. Brown relay attached to the under dash fuse box on the side.

check to see if your alternator belt is still attached to the alternator pulley...

As pointed out already... Your alternator is probably fried (or the belt is shredded). Then you ran the car off the battery until you drained it, which is probably why it's dead now and the starter won't turn over.
