boost guage install info

i have a red ,a black , and a purple. i know that the red goes to a 12v , the black to a ground, and purple to thd dimmer. where do u guys have these hooked up. exactly. i have the vac line hooked up and the wires ready go wrere they supose to. thanks , cause i really need this thing hooked up. lata.

Just connect the red to any 12v switched source. My suggestion would be the battery wire for the audio system, you can connect the dimmer to the dimmer switch wire on the audio system as well. That's where I hooked both those wires for my boost controller and it has no problems. Just hook the ground up to any bolt hiding behind the fuse box kick panel. I just drilled a small hole, put a bolt in it, and ground all my accesories of any kind to it.

where is your ign. wire????? usually a orange wire...dont want that gauge to run all the time (even with the car off).
