Hey, Im purchasing a CF hood with the intention of painting it. I'm buying a ViS hood in case that matters.
My question is, is there anything special that must be done in order to paint the hood?

block it, prime, paint

i believe you have to scuff the clear on the CF before painting it, use a very high grit sand paper, just to make the primer adhere better to the surface, then paint it as normal

^^ Roger that. VIS CF hoods comes with Clear coat thing.
