s14 Just bought Recaros and need help.

I just got a pair of recaros out of a Evo 9 MR for my S14 and I want to know what sliders and brackets I can use. I searched but im not 100% about the info I read. If anyone has swapped these seats or know anything about it let me know. Thanks.

I have a pair of Evo Recaros. You need Recaro bottom rails or custom rails. So far I wasn't able to get a response when calling Recaros when I was trying to get rails from them.

These seats sit way too high for an S-chassis though. So you may want to reconsider.

wedge engineering mounts should work,
but yeah,
they might sit a little high.

I hope you got those for free... those seats are crap for any type of hard driving. Imagine sitting in your stock seat with a helmet and roll cage - not gonna happen unless you're 5'4". Evo Recaros are the same height.

I'm tall (6'3") and had to go custom non-sliding bracket on a low ass Momo seat to get enough head room to clear a cage with my helmet on. That being said, the brackets are not difficult to make, just get some 1" steel, a drill, a hammer, and a good surface to bend the steel on - helps if you have a drill press/anvil/vise though.

Ah hell I saw you're local. Maybe I can make some brackets for you. PM/email me.

use your stock seat rails. take the bracets off and tig weld them on.. it works and sits low.... if you cant weld then find someone who can...

i've done it on 3 cars and haven't had any issues, from s13 chasis to honda civics....

and yes if you do very hard driving you should get a bucket instead... but are you really going to become a pro driver???

These seats are actually good with 4 point harnesses, Atleast in a Evo. But I installed them with the wedge engineering brackets and it sucks. Its way too high and I dont like it. the door kinda hits the seat too. What seat is everyone using in their car that sits low? Am I going to have to get the Low MAx seat by Bride? I would love to get some Brides but they are expensive. I might sell these Recaros I just got if anyone wants them.

Your gonna have to use Recaro sliders, and custom make your own brackets. thats what i did anyways. The problem is though, is that the seat sits up so high that i cant wear a helmet. Its a tight fit for any of the non-fixed-bucket seats. your best bet is going to be getting a seat that has side mounting abilities

There's one guy who installed Evol seats on 240s. When I pmed him that I want to install evol stock seats in my s14, he pmed me back not to do it. Even you swap the seats to Recaros, it will seat up too high.

Sell them.
