Painting my car What color?

I am thinking of a color to paint my 89 hatch and I am not sure what I want just yet.  As of now my top choice is House of Kolor  Kandy green?  What do ya think?  And what would be your choice?

Forget that, get black <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':thumbsup:'> , I have never seen a green f/b green coupes. Choosing a color is more important than you think. What kinda rims do you plan on geting (gunmetal, silver, chrome, etc..) I like to match. Black on black, or Blue with a blue lip, but thats all cuz I fell in love with all those cars I keep seeing that have Advans with colored lips.

Do you have any pictures of the green, is it light green, dark green?

In one of my Young Version magazines I saw a 180sx in some sort of a candy green. &nbsp;It was like british racing green but a little brighter. &nbsp;It immediately became one of my favorite colors. &nbsp;It looked sooo &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/whatsthat.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':whatthe:'> &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/inlove.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''> &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/inlove.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''> , I wish I could scan a picture of it for you but I don't have a scanner &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'> . &nbsp;Other than that I'd say go for the R34 skyline CALSONIC blue. &nbsp;That's a sweet color; unfortunately both paints would probably be kind of hard to match.

I dont have a pic of it &nbsp; and the best i can describe it &nbsp;is &nbsp;bright metallic green &nbsp; well actually the color actually varies on how many coats of kandy that gets put on it. &nbsp; I like blue the best &nbsp;but my friend just painted his civic blue so that kinda ruins that color.

i plan on getting silver, just so i won't have to wash it as often. plus, not many 240SX's are silver because it wasn't an option.

you shouldn't discount a color cause your friend has it.. &nbsp;you should be painting it for you. &nbsp;If you like a color, get it.

I've always been partial to bright rich reds, and canary yellows.

I think a yellow FB w/ a blacktop would be hot, especially with a nice dark tint all around..

I think I am gonna go with the kandy green &nbsp; &nbsp;not too many bright ass green cars around. &nbsp;Plus it is diffrent &nbsp;and diffrent I like.

They are called paint codes. &nbsp;Any body shop can get them and mix the paint to the right paint code. &nbsp;Had a friend paint her car the same blue that is on the new NSX. &nbsp;It took the body shop awhile because they were waiting on there new paint code update for there computer. &nbsp;So if you want a color ask the body shop and they can do it for you.

Adriatic blue. &nbsp;Its an integra color. &nbsp;Real dark, metallic. &nbsp;I was about to buy a 97 240sx in that color. &nbsp;Absolutely amazing.

Isn't that a Miata "M" Edition color from one of the years in the mid 90's? I know they had something that looked just like it if it's not.

Candy green? When I think of that what comes to my head.. hmmm that assclown ecclipse in Fast and the Furious and like 10 other eg-5 and eg-6 civics.... It's a slow ricey color used for shows. Get black. Period.. Yeah and anyway this has been asked before so next time you post... SEARCH [if it works]

Hmmm &nbsp;if i use the search &nbsp;and secrched for the last time that I asked what color to paint my car I doubt it would be in there so that means I have never asked it before. &nbsp;So why would i use the search &nbsp; I could pick any color and someone would have painted a stupid color. &nbsp;So what if i wanted to paint is purple like the 240 in the fast and the furious &nbsp;you would have probably liked it wouldnt you &nbsp;or wait is was in that dumbass movie so it is a stupid color &nbsp;how bout the yellow skyline nah it was in that movie. &nbsp;This is one thing I have came to notice about this forum, a lot of people have a biased opinion. &nbsp;And just because its not a 240 or a diffrent Nissan &nbsp;it sucks. &nbsp;Quit being so closed minded.

The person that you are refering to is JE Dubz I take it. &nbsp;Close minded??? &nbsp;He owns a freaking MX-6 for gods sake! &nbsp;How is he closed minded. &nbsp;So what if he doesnt like the color, It is his opinon and he can state is as much as he pleases. &nbsp;If you gonna ask people what color to paint you car you are going to get people telling you that this *insert color here* is cool and this *insert color here* sucks donkey balls. &nbsp;So thats what you get with every post, so dont take it to heart. &nbsp;Also when he said use the search, &nbsp;I think that he ment search for when people have asked this question before. &nbsp;This question is on the forum about 1-2 every two weeks or so. &nbsp;And most likly the answers are ALWAYS the same. &nbsp;

Im getting my car painted a light silver, with white rims. Its gonna be hot, i personally don't think h/b's look good in green or blue, they only look good in black,white,red,and silver. But thats my opinion............ Good luck on finding the color...

Edit: that color of the car in my sig also looks hot and also i saw a picture of a 240 in porsche yellow... and it looked pretty good

Pearl White (maybe like the 3000gt mitsu)
Frost White (I think the honda's white)
OR
Black

I think these are the "best" suited colors for the fastback.

LOL if you want to see real close minded people go over to SupraForums, in thier minds there are no other cars. I found this with a lot of people at RX7 Forums too, but thats wat happens when talking to people with super fast cars, but I still don't like Supras, and that has nothing to do with the movie, I just don't like the body, a little too bulky for me, I also am not to fond of R34s either, but both are amazing machines.

If you are going green i say you should do a darker more low profile green...i am assuming you dont have the power yet to back a flashy "candy green" so i definitely say keep it darker. &nbsp;it will still stand out becuse there arent many if any green 240s around...if i had the cash i would paint mine a dark green or blue and get some gold advan sienna 2's but thats just my opinon.

Ya, I saw the same one in Y.V. &nbsp;If I didnt see that car and someone told me about Kandy Green, I would say ewwww. &nbsp;But after seeing what I saw, it was nice. &nbsp;It color was very close to R.E. Amemiya's FD. &nbsp;Looks very nice.

BTW: I would go with Black, matches many things as well it looks so classy to me. &nbsp;Can't go wrong with black.

I should add that there is nothing in the car &nbsp; no engine no interior &nbsp;no anything &nbsp;i tore it all out 2 weekends ago. &nbsp;That is why i am even changing the color. &nbsp;The engine was no good in the car anyways, and i already have a silvia front end and i am still shopping for an engine. &nbsp;So when it does go back together nothing will be the same. &nbsp;I tend to like bright colors more than darker ones that is why i am gonna go with the kandy green or maybe a kandy red. &nbsp;hell i dunno what color its gonna be anymore &nbsp; i just know its gonna be bright and off the wall.

I would get this color, it is on an S14 from an Import Tuner issue long ago. Its a tight color, its hard to explain, but it looks like a purple mixed with a little of the gunmetal gray color. But just take a look at it, it might be a little expesive though.

Those rims are hella tight too. I would also take those. Hope this gives you an idea. Peace
