First bleed your brakes then start the car up. To try and seat the pads.

If the piston is still sticking out enough to compress against the rotor then of course the hub won't spin.

So you do have the ebrake assembly installed? just no cables? Maybe you need to adjust the ebrake drum. There is a little hole to adjust the ebrake through the rotor iirc.

Is the caliper squeezing the rotor or is there something else inhibiting the wheel from spinning?

i took off the calipers and rotors and the axle still would not spin when i put it in gear. so i took off the axle nut on both sides and everything worked correctly. so now im wondering if it is possible to have to axle nut "too" tight??? something just doesnt seem right

haha no you cant have the axle nut too tight. iirc the torque for it is somewhere in the neighborhood of 300 pounds.

maybe you have shitty wheel bearings or something? i dunno
