This car is a 1990 Nissan 240sx se with a late model SR20DET Redtop motor and a 1991 Chuki front end conversion. The motor comes with around 38,000 miles on it and the body only has 99,000. This car has nearly NO RUST. The motor has been moded and comes with a GodSpeed Front mount intercooler, Megan Racing Downpipe, Full Megan Racing Exhaust, (3 inch all the way through to a 3.75 inch tip), Walbro 255lph fuel pump, JIC magic coilovers, 180sx Kouki Tail lights (show in the picutre below) straight from Nissan Japan for 475$. The car also has 4 autometer gauges, 3 in the air vents and 1 carbon fiber boost gauge. It has Corbeau Racing seats with harnesses and Greddy shift knob. The car has a full interior except for backseats. The car will come with 4 steelies with winter tires on them.

How much do you think I can get for it?

oh, yeah painted makes a huuuuge difference. With a decent paint job and cheap wheels, you're in the 7k-8k range. As is, 5k.

Appearance is everything. People see a car that looks like crap, and they automatically assume it has been treated like crap, or performs like crap. Good for sleepers, not good for sales.

Wow, 7-8k, hmm that makes me finish the car then sell it. Yeah, Thatguy, I get what you're saying with the appearance thing, I'd be the same way. I guess I was just hoping to find someone that knew their cars and knew what the car was and the potential it still has! Thanks for your help guys! I really didn't think I could possibly get 7-8k from this car. I look on the for sale section and they all seem to go for like 4500-5000 and those have paint.

hmm idk man id say 7-8k is definitely possible but hard to get that around here if you try and list it on craigslist or something local im not sure that itll sell for that....best bet is throw it up on the For sale section here or ebay and i bet youll get that for sure and make the buyer responsible for shipping

You wont get 7K for a bpu S13 w/ redtop that has a nice paintjob.

If anything you would list it for 6500 obo and watch the magic happen

For one thing, take the tail lights off and sell them separate. The car will not be worth the extra money simply from the tail lights. The way it stands right now though... I'd give you 3500-4k. But Iam not retarded like a lot of 240 purchasers. Thats a decent shell (400 dollars) and about 3-4k in parts. So thats what its worth. Sell whats actually worth money off of it that you can.

Yeah I was thinking about putting it on ebay, and then trying to sell some of the parts off, but I dont know. I put it up on craigslist today and Ive already gotten a few offers. One for 5000$ and another for a trade for a 1999 3000gt sohc. I don't think the 3000gt would be worth the trade, Ive already owned a 1994 3000gt sl dohc and it was slow hah but yeah thanks again for the help!! Ill let you know what it goes for!

oh ya, but even up here its hard to get $5000 for a sr powered s13

its stupid i used to be able to sell s13 parts so fast, now it takes months to sell them locally

Well hell, if you can sell potential, I'll go pull some stripped chassis from the junk yard and put a $10,000 price tag on all of them. Each one has the potential to be the next fastest car ever built. Just gotta find the right buyer.

Good luck with your sale. I think you have enough opinions now, time to make up your mind and go sell it.

haha i do like chicken nuggets.. hmm lol but yeah I've gotten a buncha offers so far on craigslist, some guy called me today and offered me two old snowmobiles. Denied that offer so fast haha. But the reason I am selling it, is because of my parents. I am 17 so I'm still living at home and they don't like the car at all. They always say like, "I don't want you driving a race car blah blah blah" "That thing is a POS and you will never drive it." They were cool about it before, but now that I only have 3 days left until I get my license back they are being all weird about it. I've done all the work myself and have been working on this car for quite sometime and all I get from them is grief. Yeah, there is nothing wrong with the car at all. The only thing it needs is paint and rims and its all set. Hopefully I can try and keep it, but I doubt it. So that is why I'm selling it haha

glad to know i didn't start one of those useless threads that usually pops up every so often haha well i get my license back tomorrow and then the car will be on the road with a for sale sign on it, hopefully it gets some attention. I haven't seen many 240's in NH that actually have a decent amount into them. Ill keep you all updated

Haha well that would be great but Im only 17 so I kinda of have to be there hah. I'm trying really hard to get them to let me keep it, my dad drove it and was like "I couldn't even control it" I told him to get some driving skills then come and talk to me haha that's why he thinks its a "race car" lol
