alright guys i need to know a couple of things. im really serious about turbo'ing my 240. i have a 96 se with 70k. alright i can get a motor for 1,500 that comes with every thing . and im doing the swap so no labor expenses. will i end up spending more money on the motor and if so how much . OR should i turbo the ka24de. i had the idea of getting a new ecu getting a muffler shope to rig my exhaust manifold to the turbo and get a internal wastegate turbo from a supra and bulid up the motor. which motor will come out with the most power. which way is the cheapest . and what are the dos and donts on these motors. thanks guys .

I'm no expert on turbo's but wouldn't a supra turbo be a little to big and spool up slowly??? Considering the turbo would originaly be from a 6 cyl. and you would be putting it on a 4 cyl. I'm not to sure either though.LOL You might not want to listen to me..... It may me that the stock Supra turbo is restrictive on that motor and would work well for your app. and just need a boost controler.Whatever...LOL.

Ugg, yet another ka vs sr post

search for this "sr* and ka*" (without quotes) and you will find plenty of links and arguing about which one is best. I know you situation may be different than the ones you'll find in search, but the replies you get will be exactly the same.

Good luck on your quest for boost let us know if you need any slightly more specific help...

That's a valid point there. Just because it's on a supra, doesn't necessarily mean it will be the best chioice for a 240...

a single stock turbo off a twin turbo supra will only support like 230hp to the wheels. the stock t25 off the SR will handle almost 300 to the wheels if the car is put together right (with an FMIC, of course)

it'll be cheaper, more reliable, and more powerufl in the long run to do the swap
