300ZX brake rotors ques + wastegate ques

ques 1: Will 300ZX rotors work with s13 silvia abs calipers (provided they are drilled for 4 lug)?

ques 2: Will a small crack below the wastegate hole on a t28 make spooling noticeably worse?

Thanks!

1. No
1a. What is so hard about using s13 calipers with s13 rotors or 300zx rotors and 300zx calipers?

Below the wastegate hole? compressor side? Wait lemme re-phrase that, the shiny side of the turbo or the non-shiny side of the turbo?

S13 brake rotors are too small for 300Z rotors...

OptionZero, I am already running altima rotors with my s13 calipers, but my buddy gave me some predrilled 300zx front rotors for free but i haven't had the time to bolt them up yet jw...

fliprayzin240sx, there is no wastegate on the compressor side buddy =) Thanks anyhow

But you know for a fact that the 300ZX rotor is both larger in diameter and wider, so how do you propose to make it fit?

That's like asking if a 15" tire will fit on an 18" wheel, you know the shit won't work, why even bother asking?

r240na: it is larger but the rotors I am using right now are still a bit small, they are smaller than 180sx/s13 sil rotors and my buddy gave me some 300zx ones and said mabye they will work mabye they wont...

Steve shadows: I talked to a guy where my buddy works at a machine shop and he said it i wont lose enough exhaust gas through it to noticeably affect response. Here's a pic:

your friend is an idiot, and you're only a little farther behind
how hard is it to get replacement s13 rotors, some fools in socal would probably give you some decent condition ones for free

Look I didn't ask to be insulted I don't see what your problem is, a simple yes or no would have done. I got these rotors for free, so I was jw. This forum is a lot hostile than I remembered it. Also the rotors that would be ideal for this setup are the real s13 silvia/180sx (not 240sx) front rotors.

Doesn't look like the crack or scratch would do you any notice. To me I think you're good.

Thanks, it's just that little crack right there and it wraps a teeny bit under the wastegate on both sides.

cracks are bad on the any side of a turbo. especially the turbine side. your spool up will be bad and the crack will only get bigger the hotter the turbine gets. and they get hella hot, enough to melt flesh instantly. trust me i know first hand. second, the 300zx rotors will only work with 300zx calipers. they are way larger diameter and also much thicker than the stock s13 rotors. so no they wont work. sorry that every one is hostile, but the rotor question is very basic common sense. just to clarify, the 300zx rotors will work on an s13/s14 but you must have the matching 300zx calipers. (ie. 26mm rotor & caliper or 30mm rotor & caliper) hope this helps you out

Well I have considered z32 calipers but I have been dealing with turbo issues lately and found out that I need a new compressor o-ring seal as well, anyone know if it possible to seal this crack in the turbine?
