Music software, beat slicers, looping software etc..
So anyone got any recogmendations? I wanna slice parts out of some mp3s to sample beats... then use those sections and loop em to stretch into a full lenght beat.. then record some vocals seperately and paste it over that beat lol...
I know back in teh day i used to play with FL stupio and Sonicfoundry acid but i dont think acid is used anymore.. I tried reason but it looked too complicated to bother spending the time learning.. at least with acid it was easy to learn...

Nothing will be easier than FL Studio and Acid, respectively, simple as that.
I am learning and loving Ableton Live 6 myself, having all the functionality of several other programs with a slightly less painful learning curve, but one must understand that the more feature-rich programs will be a little more difficult to learn, but SO fulfilling when you got it down pat. |

If I just want to quickly cut out a part of a track, I use Sound Forge. I'm still trying to learn how to effectively isolate beats and vocals, I don't have that down yet, and I'm simultaneously learning how to use Ableton and Reason.
