I am thinking about getting a Cusco 2-point or 3-point rear strut tower bar.
However, I hear it is a hassle to install.
Does anybody installed or know any details about this?
Any information is appreciated.
Thank you!

It's Pretty easy. I have the cusco rear OS bar, and Triangle bar.. you have to notch the interior body panels in the fastback, and drilling holes in the floor board is fun with the car up in the air.

i think he's talkin bout the s14 not the s13...but anyways...i have the nismo rear strut tower bar for my s14 and its not hard at all to install...all u have to do is pull the back seat down and take off the rear dash...after that all u gotta do is put the strut bar on...however, if the cusco bar is anythin like my nismo one u will have to cut your rear dash in order for the bar to fit...

Remember not to tighten the rear bolt on the rear strut mounting bracket too tight when putting on the tower bower. The bolts are not that thick and you will strip. Then you will have to go to NISSAN and wait forever to get a new bracket. Learn from my mistake.

By rear dash Im gonna say he means the hard carpet lining of the trunk. My step dad cut out little verticle retangle holes so he kept the carpet, and it still looks pretty flush (its on an Accord )

The Cusco RSTB isn't like the Nismo. I can't remember exactly how the install goes, but it doesn't come up through the parcel shelf. You actually see the bar in the trunk pass through. Here's a pic of my friend's car. Lucky SOB has the Nismo RSTB, Cusco RSTB, and Do-Luck RXB. Don't ask me how he got both RSTB's on...I'm still really not sure...

BTW, The 3 point triangle bar RSTB is for S13 HB only...

I can't remember what it's called, but does that chassis bar on the floor actually do anything noticable?

Thanks for all the info.

The bar that goes through the rear seat is supposed to work wonders for the car...at least that's what the Silvia owners in Japan say.
I was recommended this bar instead of the rear strut bar for the ease of installation.

while that's neat as hell, why not (for that price & rigidity) have a shop build a custom full cage?

Where did you guys go to get the Nismo Rear Bar for the S14? I've never seen a place that carries them. Even the Cusco one. I've seen alot of rear under strut bars, but not the upper.

I am fortunate to be in Japan right now...the Nismo and Cusco bars can be ordered from any car place.

I had trouble finding the rear bar in the US too.
If you want, I can get one for you while I'm still here.

Here's where I got my Nismo RSTB from:

http://nismoparts.safeshopper.com/index.htm?691

I got it for 260 shipped. They have it listed at 240 + shipping. I'm in IN, and they're in WA, so I'm sure shipping wouldn't be that much more anywhere else in the US.
