so i am thinking about getting a xbox 360 here just for this game, and dead riseing and halo3 when it comes. anyone play it? i diddn't hear mutch about it anywhere, but then again i am not mutch of a game player except for when one can entertain me.

just played it today ar a friends house, it was bad as hell. especially liked the camera work when you run. makes all other 3rd person shooters look like shit.

im not a 3rd person shooter guy but i must say this game is great. it gets a lil ackward when in close range though and shooting without aiming is pointless but its hott. dead rising is crazy hard man theres like a time limit and shit. at first u're incredibly weak. u have to level up and play for a while to get strong enough to be good for anything. very frustrating. game looks sick on high def though and its fun if u're not looking to get through the games story

this game is nuts, i bought it yesterday, skipped all my classes, and blew monsters up all night... its so much fun and right up till i bought it i wanted to sell my 360 but now theres no way im selling it... best game i ever bought besides halo II. PERIOD!

I've been spending most of my off work hours playing Gears Of War on Live with the Supraforums OT crew.

Not to sound big-headed, but you don't wanna go against me when I have a sniper rifle and a revolver.

I got it. Takes 2 people to play. one to read the guide book and one to play. Miss so much crap like gear tags. Watch out for the bloody gears on walls and shit. Usually means there are gear tags or something around.

It's a monster if you can pull off headshots. Pretty much has the same effect as the sniper rifle. But I don't think it has the 1 shot 1 kill like the rifle. But it's still pretty powerful.

If I have a Lancer (gun w/ chainsaw) then I usually get them on their knees and just walk up to 'em, point the revolver at their head and splatter their face on the pavement. Too many people do the curb stomp and chainsaw executions. I gotta be original.

oh man, i played GOW at my friends last night and iwas impressed with it. i like well made third person shooters. (resident evil 4 was awesome). overall i loved the action and sound effects. the graphics were real engaging as well. id say its a safe bet to try it out

I broke down and got it. xbox 360 premium & burnout for it at wall mart for 399

then went and got GOW and FEAR for it. FEAR doesn't look that great, but is honestly kinda a freaky FPS. but i belive that is another thread.

Awesome game.

Awesome moments:

1. Co-op, having a friend distract the BOOM guys, and running up behind it and slapping a grenade on its back.

2. Chainsawing anything. Period.

3. Disarming an enemy, running up and curb stomping.

4. The quick little buggers, the climbing screaming things, waiting until they jump to attack you and then blindly firing your shotgun into them. Watch them ASPLODE all over the place.

5. The rest of the game.

way better than halo1 in my opinion, yes i like halo1 better than 2
yea everyone needs to get this game becuase this game isnt like halo were after a while u get bored and start messin around with warthogs on blood gultch
no not this game u can never get bored of it + great story line

BERSERKERS BLOW!!!!, but yeah man, i have both games listed...Halo3 on reserve. Gears of war is hella scary and fun att he same time; highly addictive. Dead Rising is like a Gran Theft Auto in the mall with zombies.You'll have to play through the games story like a bunch of times to actually BEAT it. Its more of a High Def game cause if you play on regular small tv's the text is super hard to read.

This game was made for multiplayer, like all games are nowadays, if you want an epic pick up final fantasy.

This game is so good online, the campaign is just an awesome addition for you and your friends to get good at it.
