Welding an 38mm External Wastegate flange on to stock sr manifold

has any1 done this before, is this a good idea. will it make better response for my engine. lmk

I personaly did this and i welded the internal wastegate shut on my 2871r. all you have to do is make sure you mount the wastegate where all the runners meet on the manifold and make sure you dont you dont put it on a single runner or it will cause lean conditions on that runners cylinder. I actualy still have my manifold pre-made if your looking to purchase one? pm me if interested.

I did it too. my whole kit is fs. I cut out the runner dividertoo so it will get max flow to the wg
