I've heard so many good things about both exhaust systems and was wondering if I could get a comparision between the two on hp sound and appearence. I dont want anything to loud and whinny in the high rpm.

Hey man,

I had both. The Hiper was the first one I had and someone stole the rear section. They took the axle-back. Now, I was left w/ the resinator pipe from the cat.

Now, I bought a n1 (turbo version) which was just about the same size as the hiper. Im my opinion, they both really sound the same. My friend has a full n1 catback and it sounds almost like mine. Only difference is my car is deeper at higher revs, cuz I have a stillen intake. He has an aem intake.

In my opinion, I would go with the Hiper if you dont have a lot of haters that live around your area. Up to this day, I still dont know who stole my shit, but I will find out. Hehe.

The hiper is cheaper to ship out because it is two sections. The n1 is one big ass pipe, therefore its gona cost more to ship.

Let me know what you decide =)

ive driven 240s with both exausts. i like my hyper better b/c its deeper and not very loud while the N1 is noisy, but still, very nice... id go with either, but i went with HKS b/c it was cheaper to ship...

Thanx for the help guys. Now that i have decided to go with the hks hyper i was wondering whether or not that exhaust is compatible with the sr20det. I am planning to purchase one in the future but I really dont want to get the hks now and then have to purchase something else when i get the engine.

Well go to www.hks-usa.com and go use their search function and type Sr20det parts and ull find a plethora of hks parts for the sr20det. Also they make 85mm diameter pipin for the sr20 version of hks hi-power

that 85 mm piping is even bigger than teh apexi N1's 70 mm piping. that'd be great for the SR, but on that KA, you'll probably lose power. of course, if you plan on getting an SR within the next 6 months, id get the 85 mm exaust and just leave it in your room. dont put it on until you get the SR with a big downpipe and Test pipe (dont forget that 85 mm cat back is alot better with a downpipe and mid pipe that are the same size&#33 you can live with the stock exaust!
