help, i got the shakes!

k, i just install a good tranny about a month ago or so.... also a great condition stage 2 clutch...

it wasnt doing this for the first 3 weeks ago, just in the last week or so its been SHAKING LIKE A BITCH! everytime i take off and even sometimes when i downshift my car will shake... NO the clutch is NOT SLIPPING!!!!!

i am not exactly sure what it is... but i do know im low on gear oil tho... not as easy to shift and its a little noisy in 1-3 gear, quieter in 4 gear, and once again noise in 5th... could that have something to do with it?

if anyone knows anything about this let me know... thanks a lot!

To make things easier, why don't you fill the tranny up with the correct amount of fluid, then see if you still have this problem. You may have answered your own question, but you need to get rid of the possibles first.

Check your driveshaft, maybe the bolts were't torqued down enough. It doesn't really make sense that it would start now but if you did the tranny yourself did you mark the driveshaft when you took it apart to make sure you put it back the same way? If you didn't you can throw the balance of the driveshaft off sometimes. All I can think of, hope it helps.

Yeah ive noticed the people on here are smart asses day and night. Atleast you're not going around acting like you're a know it all. Hope you find the problem with your car and fix it...i on the other hand have no idea why it could be doing it. I drove a mazda before that had that same problem and it ended up being the clutch slave cylinder not engaging and disengaging right. and if its making noise maybe its like...the throw out bearing or something??? Just making possible suggestions is all.

well i know the throw out bearing is making noise because when i we put the other tranny in, i didnt replace the throw out bearing.. which wasnt a good choice but they didnt have any in stock... and my knowledgable friend said it only would make noise and wasnt harmful... but other than that idk whats up... this al could be my gear oil... i need to get some asap... today i will... thanks guys.

so i filled up my gear oil to the correct amount... its shifted smoother.... till i found out that my starter only had one bolt holding it in and it was loose alone.. jesus.... so i tightened it... it didnt shake as much and my clutch felt better.... it mustve been messin with my flywheel.... anyone got any ideas? besides get both bolts... haha.

totally different vehicle, but my friends F150 after he lowered it would vibrate whenever he got near 60mph, explanation he got was that when lowered, the driveshaft was at a different angle then it was intended to so it would spin looser, when it reached a significant "spin speed" it would cause the truck to vibrate.
I dont think that happens to cars but, reinforces the idea from earlier, that it could be the drive shaft.

so your say that you checked all the bolts and made sure that they are all torqued down properly right? and you check to see if you put the right fluid in there right? then i dont see a reason why your car should be shaking like that.. because the bolts are tighten properly and the fluid is up to the right amount then the only thing that i could think of is your drive shaft or your LSD having problems.....did you check you tranny mount???... because i didnt tighten one of my tranny mounts and the car was vibrating like crazy

hope this helps
dee
