s13 S13.4 ? , yes I did use the search.. just help me with some ?s.

Well I just bought a coupe 93 SE from my friend and since it's basically engine less right now and trannyless, I've gone on a hunt cleaning the car up and making it a bit sparkly clean.

I been discussing the whole matter of the pop up lights with my friends on how to do the conversion. I am going for Kouki front. Now it's come to my attention that you need a core support. My question is, does it matter which core support of the S14 do I get. Either the Zenki or the Kouki? Would it make a difference?

Lastly, I am not interested in "where" to buy the fenders or the lights.. or the hood. I got that down. I just want to know.. if I get the Core support of the S14 Zenki would be good.. because man.. I know a couple of good Zenki's in junkyard I can take the core support out from.

Also.. the bumper support does it matter also?
I would really appreciate it if someone could be nice enough to help me out with this.

Don't send me to the search button. I already did search.. mind you I guess some of you don't know some forums after a while delete threads to save space. So I did search and all I found were pics, discussions and opinions and people want to kill others for the search button.

I don't believe it makes a difference, people do Zenki-->Kouki swaps all the time...

Thank you all for the great response. As for the bumper support. Can I use my current one , or do I need the one from an S14 as well?

Hah, I thought .4 and .5 meant 14 and 15, and they just took the last digit to deciede what the number after the decimal was, to figure out the orginal platform then the conversion added.

Using that logic, an S13 with an S15 front would become an S14... hahaha yeah...

yea you just need the fenders, hood, bumper, and lights from my research. I'm in the process of doing that now. Already have everything except for the fenders. My question is does anyone know anyone IN THE USA that sells conversion fenders besides raceonusa? I dont want some crap that doest fit. Bik would know what hes talking about. I think hes got the S13.4 zenki. I'll have mine done within a few weeks and I'll post up pics.

yea this conversion has to be aftermarket to look good. stock bumpers (usdm, or JDM) just dont look right. I have the origin stylish front which I think will work out well.

naw i just dont like those made up terms..
like saying s14a or s14b, why cant people put down 95/96 or 97/98 or zenki or kouki

is it that hard to say s15 front end on a s13 hatch? or s13 coupe

if you put put that logic what do you call a civic with a s15 front end?

seg6.5?

or a r33 front end on a s14? rs14.3?

and if you look at a s13.5? why does 13 goes before the 5? doesnt that say s13 with a s15 rear? would this not be a s15.80?

you guys with all that s13.3456773895723 nonsense need to chill out and go get your own thread to get locked because the starter of this thread actually had a valid question and well... your guys posts are just so dumb they are mind numbing.

s13 with an s14 kouki front = s13.4

s13 with an s14 zenki front = s13.4

s14 with an s15 front = s14.5

s13 coupe with an s15 front = s13.5

rps13 with an s15 front = s13.5 sileighty

s13 coupe with rps13 front = onevia or in the us its just an 240sx coupe.

and back to the thread starter's question: just get creative with mounting the inner headlight brackets. its really easy once you get into it.

my friend just recently did it with his zenki s14 front end pieces on his new s13 hatch.
he used the stock (s13) core support and used the headlight brackets from the s14. I'm not too sure about the bumper tho (not the bumper cover, the actual bumper)
honestly, it looks a little funny to me, as the s14 is a little wider, it looks like it has oversized fenders on the front.
I'll try and get some pictures of it up soon.

yeah the s14 is like 3/4 or 1 inch wider, nothing then a little pull on the back cant fix, i wide it a little on the back

to put the ligths is easy, the outside bolts on the fender, the inner side will "bolt" in the core suport if u reverse it

y have to make a hole on it so u can bolt the head ligth, the interior of the bumper have to be cut too to fit "your car will be ligther" hehe

check out how the back is wider, now i need some spacers for the wheels Y_Y

yeah my interiors was brown "shit", i paint them grey, call me ricer!!! please do it!!! O_O

damn bik, your cars a inspiration. I've been searching arround for about a month on this conversion and your cars everywhere, all the forums and everything.

You have kouki corners and zenki headlights correct?

Did you cut and weld your fenders, or did you buy some conversion ones? What headlight brackets did you use, silvia or 180sx? Looks like it just bolted straight up.

Did you have to cut a hole in the radiator support to have rear clearence for the headlights?

You said that you didnt use a bumper support at all, so where is the bumper bolted to, just the fenders, or somewhere in the middle, and if so where?

For the hood, did you just modify the stock hinges, or did you buy the S15 ones?

Sorry for all the questions, but like I said, you the only one I know of thats succesfully done it, and I just dont like running in a forest blind folded with kinves straped to my hands. Thanks

I dunno what bik used for his, but my friend used the s14 headlight brackets. The fenders he did not modify, but they do stick out quite a bit more in the back than biks car. Someone I'm sure could bend them back a little to make it look better. The hood, also lined up fairly close enough to be installed on the stock hood latches. Just tryin to help out a lil bit

cool cool, I plan on using just hood pins, so the latch lineing up is irrelevent, as long as it lines up to the car. I would install the hood today buy the fucker sent me the wrong one. Anyone wanna buy a seibon 180sx hood. I'll deliver in the bay area.

am I really seeing what I think I'm seeing??!!??

why does it look like that S14 fenders, both zenki and kouki bolt right up to the S13 chassis with VERY little modifications and just about all of it lines up right? like they said, its a little bit wider, but does it really work?
