Work XD9 Rims, will they clear Brembos ?

Hello guys,

i actually threw an eye on the Work XD9 rims, i do want them in the following sizes:

Front: 8,5x17" +25
Rear: 9,5x17" +28

The problem is that i do have a complete front and rear R33 GT-R Brembo brake setup and because of the deep dish design of the rims im asking myself if they will clear the calipers.

If you guys are driving these or similar rims with a Brembo setup or a Z32 setup please let me know what do you think about this matter and if i have to change offsets.

Thanks in advance.

They will clear very easily.

I have 18x8 +28 and the calipers are an easy 10-15mm away from the spokes.

when I had xd9's (17x9.5 +17 up front), i could not clear 300zx calipers w/ 350z rotors.

The problem was not spoke clearance, that was fine. The caliper was actually hitting the inner barrel.

17.5 +40... Daaaaaamn that's a wide wheel.

Im assuming you mean 7.5 +40 in which case you could house a small family of geese in the amount of clearance.

Sounds like the 17s will not fit...
If you want 17s that will fit go with Enkei RPF1s

If the spokes don't curve outwards I'm going to say the fronts won't fit.

It has to do with certain sizes being built for the rear wheels (usually 9.5 and up will have less barrel clearance, at least thats what I understand from talkin to A Spec Logan). Different brands will probably have different clearance.

My 17x9 +15 Racing Sparco NT-Rs clear spoke and barrel easily (300zx 30mm caliper w/ 350z rotor, should clear the brembos too).

Also, the stock 350Z base wheels (17s) will clear the Brembo setup as well.
