s13 KAAZ 1.5 install S13

sup,
has anybody done one of these installs in their S13 yet? I`m thinking it should be a farely simple swap with the other diff, but are there things that i should know before just trying to do it, or while in the process of doing it?
Thanks

when i installed my kaaz 2 way, it came with instructions. but you'll need an impact gun for busting the ring gear bolts.

do you need to worry about backlash with these?

I'd just get new shims from Nissan anyway.

if you do not maim your original shims. you should not have to replace them. a runout gauge would help it setting the backlash exactly to spec. Impact gun or electric impact gun makes busting the ring gear bolts easier. retorque those to spec. If you have access to a lift and air tools. it shouldn't take more then like and hour maybe 2 at the most. and use loctite!!! Jspec has a diff cover with a hole in it because someone didn't use loctite and it blew off the cover.

Make sure you keep track which side the shims go to. Also, after installing, take it to a differential shop and have them check the backlash. Should cost 40-60 bucks. But it'll give you a piece of mind knowing it's set correctly.
