s13 Bizarre ignition issue

Hey Zilvia, I picked up a cashed 240SX to pick at (bust bottom end, front seal apparently is blown, lotsa stuff wrong) but the thing that bothers me the most is that it drains its own battery really fast so I always have to boost it.

What happens is that when I turn the car off, all the accessories stay on until it runs out of juice. The first thing that came to mind is the ignition wiring, but if there's one thing that terrifies me, it's wiring. Also, I haven't had the chance to look at an FSM or anything since I got it.

It'd be nice to have this cleared up so that I can move the car when I need to.

Thanks

why does wiring terrify you? You'll only get shcoked if you grab a wrench and touch the battery terminals together.

I doubt it's an ignition problem. When you say all the accessories stay on you mean like the A/C vents, stereo, dome light? Or do you mean the fan, P/S pump, A/C compressor...?

Please elaborate.

Accessories as in radio, and big dumb (aftermarket) tachometer. Dome light doesn't work.
Engine stuff (fan, P/S, etc.) doesn't go on unless key is in the "ON" position.
