Turbo upgrade question?

I have a s13 sr and I just upgraded my turbo to a s15 (t28) with HKS actuator, i also upgraded injectors to 550cc...
heres my question:
-is it normal that the injectors make more noise? i hear them loud, and they are working perfect, i just wanna know if is normal?

-also, i havent had the chance to get tuned, so is it safe to drive the car like that?? or should i just wait?

-a friend told me to smell the oil, and if it smells like gas then i should change the oil and not drive it, true or false?

as of now the car is sitting i dont even wanna drive it because ive heard is not safe until it gets tuned, can i just used the stock injectors until i get tuned or is this a bad idea?

any advice is welcome
thank u

God Bless

Juan

Not safe at all to run bigger injectors without a tune. You will run too rich. You can use the stock injectors with bigger turbo, but need to stay out of boost, or at least not turning up the boost because you will most likely need more fuel to run a bigger turbo.

all you need now is z32 maf and safc2 and you'll be making good power. all you're gonna do is foul out your plugs. you're gonna be slower now than with your t25 since you'll be running so rich, so y even take it out. get it tuned, but you won't hurt your motor running rich. once you drive it and feel how slow it is compared to your t25 you'll be like , bah i'm getting tuned. and DO NOT think it's a good idea to compensate for your extra fuel by giving it EXTRA BOOST lol :P just givin you a hard time.

all in all , you could have the best parts in the world on your car, but if you're not tuned for em, or have a crappy tune, you'll get owned by people with average parts and a good tune. it's all in the tune man. you asked some good questions. gl , post your dyno's and don't take the stock maf passed 270rwhp, bad idea. laterz

Juan[/QUOTE]

making noise?
Are you sure its not your fuel pump? those make noise, I have 850cc injectors and didnt notice more noise, maybe cuz the engine in itself makes tons of noise, but never heard of inj noise.
its either the fuel pump or the Flow of the bigger turbo that you are not used to yet, is it only when you accelerate?

Safc2 is far from a one stop tuning solution, get a rom tune if your on a budget.

What?????

Hydrolocking (hydro=water, by the way) occurs because water gets sucked into the intake, into the cylinders, and everything seizes. Because water does not compress. Water also does not explode (like gasoline).

So unless your injector manages, somehow, to dump a few ounces of gasoline into the cylinder during one cycle (which would be, oh, I don't know, maybe 200x more fuel than it has the physical capacity of flowing), and the spark plug manages to not ignite said fuel before the piston moves all the way up the bore...what you said makes no sense.

You can run The T-28 on stock injectors You can run 14PSI on it without a prob
Im running a T-28 with Stock ECU and injectors @ 14 psi when I had my PFC plugged in my injectors were only reading 60%ish at about 12 psi.?? I forgot by now, but still had enough
so you would be fine at 12PSI

There's more than enough information around to where you can tune the SAFC yourself. Get a decent wideband and an EGT
