I just recently got a 1990 240sx.  It has a "lifter tick" coming from the top end of the motor.  Now, I know that it has an Overhead cam, but would it have Lifters??  I talked to a couple of guys, they said that it has a lifter like thingie in the bottom of the rocker arm?  This "tick" comes and goes.  Any idea on how do fix it.  I know that it is gettting enuf oil.  I was told that it is the nissan tick, and that alot of them have it.  But nissan did not design this tick!!  Where could I get some rocker arms.  Do they make roller rockers for this motor??  I put sum in my dirt track car, and, according to the dyno, gained 15 hp at the tires!!  Thanks for your help...

yea the KA24E has hydraulic rocker arm valvetrain. Your problem sounds familiar cause it happened to me before. Pretty much you need to rebuild your valvetrain. Theres slack in there due to wear and tear which is why you hear the ticking noise.
