I have an 98' S14 and topped out at 118 MPH racing a GS-R.  Needless to say I lost, so is there anyway to get rid of the governor to let me go faster?  Is it built into the computer or do I just find a certain hardware and remove it?  Help if anyone knows!

We were on the freeway and I was racing a Jetta and ate that car up.  This GSR pulls up and we start going at it, him on the fast lane, me on the slow lane (4 lane highway).  I dropped it to third and then to fourth, I was a car length ahead, but when I hit 5th gear, he caught up and passed me by 2 car lenghts.  I only had an Apex-i N1 exhaust then.  I added an Injen CAI recently and I know I would have a better chance now.
I'll go look for that thread, thanks!

I hate it when people race on the freeway. It's very dangerous.

Keep your racing to the isolated side streets and the autocross tracks!

The GSR must not have known how to drive his car.

highway racing is pretty dangerous but TOTALLY dependent on the car!

in my S13 the wire cut worked, but i never removed the 5th gear sensor (which i think is the last plug towards the rear of the tranny??)

Never messed with the S14 ECU... i'm pretty close to just getting a JWT ECU instead <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>

Mine never had a speed limiter.
Freeway racings a lot more fun then drag, if you know what you're doing.
