s14 window. DOOOWWWNN. UP, stop. UP, stop. UP, stop.

My driver's side window on my s14 goes down just fine. However, when going up it stops off and on.

It has progressively worsened. Now the window rolls up 4 inches and stops for 4 or 5 seconds. Rolls up another 4 inches and stops for 4 or 5 seconds. Does this untill finally reaching the top(like 10 stops in all).

Is this being caused by a bad motor or a relay?

thanks in advance.

Motor, but it could be from kinked linkage too. Has any of the window adjustments come loose?

I would check the motor and regulator, but it could very possibly be a switch as well. As long as you have no binding noises or grinding its probably not the regulator. motor switch or relays..swap relays, swap switches and even swap motor to isolate issue
