Since your new to 240's I would recommend doing some research on SR20 swaps, since the car your looking at has one. It seems to be modded pretty well but searching this forum's "cars for sale" section would help you get an idea of the going rates for sr swapped cars. I feel that since your in cali you would have a better time finding some whips on our forum, most are in cali.

What do you personally think of the mods he's done? If it's already in the direction you planned to mod it, then the car might be worth more to you than someone else.

Why exactly do you want this car? It's pretty clean, nice and all.. but if I were just starting out (especially if I were new to turbo-mods), I would start stock. Like the other guy said... why buy someone else's (potential) headache?

Get one stock.... and do everything yourself with the help of the interweb. It will be like going to uti with the hands on shit... but you can spend the 20 grand on mods...

If you buy an already modded car you will most likely be saving money, and time. The downside would be if something broke you might not know how or what to fix. Or worse yet, the person you bought it off of didnt know what they were doing and stuff starts falling apart shortly after you buy it. So I recomend, if you have the time and money but dont have the know how, buy a complete stock s13 hatch, maybe even one with a blown motor. Research see if you want an sr, ca, ka, or rb and learn as much as you can before going that route. You'll be happier building it yourself, trust me.

It's like a girl. You don't want one that has been around the block. I'm talking New York city block, not a LA block.

Search and ask questions. Whatever you do, don't let your impulse get the better of you.

Since you live in the 949, there is a Irvine meet and also a autobacs meets. You can show up, look at the cars, and ask questions.

he's also lying about the "30k motor mileage" part, if you do buy a car that has an SR swap, ummm don't rely on the whole LOW MILEAGE most early red and blacktops don't have that type of mileage anymore. buy yourself a compression tester if you are looking to buy ANY car, especially a car that is over 10 years old.

just buy a stock s13 for cheap, that is already manual, no headaches for auto to manual conversion. Depending on your budget, you can either go for sr20 or a rb..I think you would save lot more money this way then starting off someone elses project..you would never know what the other guy did to the car..good luck

Yeah seriously like everyone else is saying. Buy a stock s chassis. Upgrade it with suspension first since it seems your new to the field. Then after worry about brakes and tires. And then worry about making power with a motor swap. That is if you plan on pushing this car to its limits.

Stock's the way to go.
Base your engine on what you're gonna do.
Don't get an RB and expect it to handle like a dream.

definatly a good idea to start out stock. with that much money you'll be able to get a decent chassis and start the modding on your own. its quite gratifying making all your own decisions and doing all the work, plus you'll learn so much as compared to going out there and buying an already sr'd car with more issues than you can fathom
