go 5 lug. if you're tracking it get a roll cage. whats your suspension setup? diff? if it was me id buy those next. seems like you'll be putting out plenty of power already.

If your main plans for the car are drifting, get a seat. Then after that, buy spare wheels. Put some money aside for emergency purposes. Practice drifting with the relatively stock motor then go for more power, it'll make you a better driver.

May seem like a non attractive answer, but this was the best, spend money on the car when you are pretty sure of yourself on the track, then you can make it look nice and not worry about losing itall in an accident.

sell this car and get either a s15, r33/ r34, or if you must keep this car i suggest:
full turbo kit (HKS, Apexi, Greddy) stand alone engine management (AEM EMS, Apexi power Fc) 5 lug with serious wheels Brake upgrade ( Project mu, Brembo, AP racing) Maybe even a new paint job Interior work (seats, roll cage, Stack display) you see you still have many options if you want to keep building this car. But sometimes the best part about these cars is seeing the changes and improvements that occur with each and every new part.... you might just be more satisfied with starting a new project that you have built from stock up. Good Luck |

My suggestion... You should get a PowerFC, T3/T04E, Tuning, Cage, finish off your suspension, then invest in tires + track time. Also you should dump the RB20 trans and get an RB25 trans! And.. Quote:

He already made his choice and got a godspeed intercooler. Obviously money isnt the biggest issue and he didnt wanna shell out the money for the ARC unit. I would get a seat and drift spares right off the bat. You should be making plenty of power to go have fun at the track. I agree with get lots of seat time before putting lots of money into bodywork, it'll just get ruined.

ohh thats right...never a bad thing to upgrade though...he said he sold off the KAT parts, i kinda included inmy head the IC but ARC is incredibly reliable...though i guess extreme...to extreme for someone who is still learning basics...in a sense it would be a waste at this point... :-) |

How do you plan on keeping this T70 at full boost at a drift event? You've gotta go smaller than that. Response is gonna be in the shitter completely running something that size. Thats a drag turbo setup.

buy a stock S13 and learn how to drift with that. Go to as many track events as possible. Then move up to the monster once you're ready.
OR. Drive your current car at as many events as possible and put aside 5K for repairs for when you eventually hit a wall.

Well, to echo what others have said, a new turbo should be the least of your priorities if you're trying to get into drifting. Your RB25 will have no problems breaking the tires loose as it is. RB25 trans, driveshaft, a decent seat, steering wheel, then save the rest for tires and track time.

I would suggest since you will be doing some drifting and hitting some prettty high rpm's i would uprgarde your whole head....valvetrain and such....proabably go with
Cams Cam Gears Valves Valve Springs Valve Retainers Head Gasket Head bolts Then if you can a Nice Coilover system and it should be a pretty solid drifter car... but nice car man |
