thump sound when clutch disengaged or braking

hey i have this annoying thump sound everytime i let go of the brake or let go of the clutch. i cant figure out what it is. the sound is coming from the rear.
i have a 95 240sx 5 speed. can anyone help me out please?

oh cool thanks guys! i was a bit worried it be something serious. but after googleing subframe bushings i didnt know 240's had this as a common problem.

yeah my bushings are gone. i get the same thing.


spacers are the easy way to go. rather than dropping the whole subframe and putting in all new bushings.
