CRASHED CAR...what should i do

alright guys...
i was out yesterday and hit a corner wayyyy too fast and crashed into a pole. luckly i was okay. but my car suffered some damage. its not too bad. and the fame isnt bent too bad. but the whole front drivers side is not too good. so i think i need to either spend a shit ton of money on someone fixing the frame and doing the silvia front (s-13) or just buying another s13 i know of for around 1200. so i guess 4-5 thousand for my fixed frame on my coupe or buy another s13 but its a hatch. kinda angry. but i might want to consider just upgradeing to get a s14? anye sugesstions?

You should hit a corner way too fast and crash into a pole.

...Oh. You did that.

who cares if he crashed, all real drifters crash a couple times. at least he tries, you all are just waiting for someone to say something so you can talk shit to make yourselfs feel tight!
swap everything over, and keep practicing

^Kinda what he said.

But do it on the track!!! And if your gonna do it on the street, know your limits, dont push them unless your on a track where you wont hit a car you didnt see around the corner or even a light pole.

Your just lucky you walked away.

No, dont do it on the streets, PERIOD. Even if you know your limits and think you are drifter X, dont do it, plain and simple.... There are things you cannot predict in public like people walking across the street, another car coming out of a neighborhood, etc... It's people who drift on the streets that fuck it up for evey other S chassis owner.

I love when people handle this kind of situation with kid gloves, he fucked up, he shouldnt have been doing it, he crashed and could have killed himself or somebody else. There is no reason why people should go easy on him. I hope he learned something and will keep it on the track from now on.

I was talking about that, also, I doubt he was at a track because what track have you ever seen that had a pole right on a corner that wasnt lined with tires or something? Not to mention the dirt area all along the outside of the track....

ROFL at positive reinforcement, "Good job, I like you technique but you might want to watch out for the poles next time. Go watch some more initial D and then we'll try again next week. "

hahaha, no....

Don't be an idiot, EVERYONE knows damn well that he wasn't on a track. So don't even try and bring that into here.

You got what you deserve. Obviously you haven't learned you lesson.

Sell whatever you can of your s13, buy a metro and driving lessons with the money you made. Then proceeds to do community service to fix the pole and things alike that are done by, "street drifters".

relax ppl, he crash his car already, reply like "u deserve it" or "buy a civic" is pointless and rude... i believe most ppl here has attempted what he did (doesnt matter u crashed or not), be honest to yourselves, this is something that most of us would went through in our life, did he said hes was trying to drifting? he just said he enter a corner way to fast. i believe he learned his lesson. just dont do it on street next time. know ur limit and respect physics.

imagine one day u are walking on a street, something/somebody get ur attention and all of a sudden u trip and break ur ankle. everybody then laugh at you and say "haha..u fuking deserve it" what would u feel?
is it really hard for u guys to be kind and polite and give some supportive recommendation instead of flaming?

bak to topic, u bent ur frame, u lose ur car... maybe by looking u just bent ur front, but there maybe other parts that bent but no quite notisable yet. even u fix ur front, sooner or later they will pop out and haunt u. especially when u gonna push it. my suggestion is sit down, think about what is ur mistake. then part it out or buy another car cheap and put stuff bak into ur "new old car" then sell the old chasis for few hundred bucks. and dont under-estimate ur entry speed again.

if it was a "SAFE" area, why did he crash into a pole? that doesnt sound very safe to me...

its possible that he wasnt racing or drifting, and just hit a corner way too fast and lost control. but he probly wouldnt have made the same mistake in a geo metro. when ur driving u need to pay attention, and if u dont, thats YOUR fault.

somehow a 17 yr old saying he crashed an S13 into a pole by hitting a corner "wayyyyyy too fast" just has "wanna-be drifto" written all over it tho...

HKSilvia, the problem was that he endagered other ppl with his mistake, or easily could have.
when u walk and trip and break ur ankle, ur not edangering ppls lives. u mite hurt urself, and maybe bump someone but someone falling on you vs a 3000 lb car commng at u at 40MPH are two TOTALLY different scenarios. u cant compare the two.

^yes, u are right, but everybody did screwed up once in a while in their lifetime, point is can u realize ur own mistake and not doing it again.
i didnt say hes right, nor i would like to say so, yes its his fault, but i just want to help out in stead of flaming. buying a metro will not help. it just hiding the problem not solving the problem.
i understand trip off and crash are 2 different cases. however, careless->crashed the car->ask for help->got flamed aint sounds right either.

You can look for another 240...but given the prices and condition alot of them go for....you might want to look into another car.

Me personally, if I messed up my car I would look at something else, such as a Subby.

However, if you are lucky and can find another 240 at a good deal, get that car, fix it up (i.e. maintenance) and see what you can swap over from the other car you are parting out.

You're assuming that everyone on here is just as ignorant and that we all try to drift daily on public roads. You're wrong. Even at age 16 I was smart enough to not drive like a complete ass and endanger others. And now at age 32 I still respect and obey the laws, and I do not try to drift everywhere because it's pointless, ghey, and immature. If you do such and can feel for the original poster, maybe you should also pay attention to the points in this thread and learn better car control yourself.

we dont care what you do! where did he say people were ignorant? your assuming thats hes assuming everyones ignorant! no matter what anyone says most people that drift, do it on the street. i dont care if you say this whole website doesnt, think of how many people arent on here that do it, simply because they are uninformed about track events, or dont care. just because your ancient, doesnt mean you know it all.
this thread was made to help the guy, not to be made into a street drifting argument thread, it should be locked!
