autometer water temp guage question

i searched through 12 pages and none of the posts answered my question.

i have the sender unit threaded in a peice of 1 1/4 pipe in my rad hose
sorry if the writing is too small
but my question is what do i use from the sending unit to the guage? do i use 18 guage wire or something else?
any help would be helpful
thanks

Yep, I ran a small wire from my sender to my guage. I don't remember what gauge but 18 should be fine.

you also need to run a ground from the ADAPTER... so put a wire on the adapter.. and ground it out

i had to do this with mine for some odd reason.. not sure if yours will be the same.

I think this is necessary if you don't mount the sensor on the block.
