I'm not a fan of tequila, but last night I couldn't pass up free shots of this unique blend of tequila.

The bartender was telling me it's fairly new and not available in stores yet....i have no idea if he was just BSing...but why would he? the shots were free and i could have as much as I wanted that night.

It's smooth and has a great after taste that reminds me of caramel coffee.

I'm far from a drunk and i made this thread to get the word out to those that are 21+ and I was curious if anyone else has tired this yet.

The place I tired it at (for local folks) was 1223 in D.C.

Also...I'll never have a '3 wisemen' again

If that's no different than the Patron XO I've had a few times, then it's pretty cheap...like $20 for a 750. Why were you doing shots of coffee liqueur? Haha...that's like shots of Kahlua. Yikes. It's definitely good for white russians and stuff, but I've sworn it off after the dreaded "we drank everything and this is all we have left" night.

I really like Patron's rum. It's called Pyrat. The taste is very good IMO and the presentation is amazing.

Bleurgh, can't stand Tequila! For some reason I can't stomach it, but I dont have a problem with other spirits!
My friend lives for tequila though. Drinks it like Coke!!

looks like a coffee liqueur, 70 proof and about 20 a fifth. might have to give this a shot in a white russian instead of kahlua. intriguing

I saw this in the alcohol aisle at Food 4 Less like 3 weeks agi when we were making our list for alcohol for our party tonight...

That's a weird shade of dark brown/black for tequila though.

I HATE HATE HATE tequila (usually the one and only thing I wont drink), but when i was at my friends bar on superbowl, he opened up a bottle of this and started pouring shots. I couldnt believe how good it was and that it wasnt 20-30 proof and nasty. I dont even like coffee haha.

ps- 3 wisemen's are f'ing tough. brings back fun memories though.

Okay, I don't know everything about this stuff, but I think some of you might be a bit misled about it. It's not tequila that's flavored with coffee liqueur or anything. It's basically coffee liqueur that's BLENDED with some tequila. Patron wants to put a little tequila in everything as their gimmick, because...that's what they do. I don't think it's totally tequila, or totally coffee liqueur. :shrug:

I think it's really super sweet. I also think anyone tasting this blind would fail to see any resemblance to tequila at all. They would think it was kahlua, just...different.

ScottMan - Thanks for the clarification. I was wondering why it was so good, it didn't have that tequila aftertaste.

I love Patron Anejo, but not sure if I'd like this coffee thing. I'd try it though.

yea coffe liquer, or IMO liquer period is for more of sipping thing. Chocolate liquer is good, the coffe ones I have had werent that great.

The only time Ive ever seen it was in a patron boxed set I bought.
It came with all four flavors/colors.
Green/Silver/Orange/Blackish

I hate coffee, but I love liquor. It wasnt bad..
