AEM "piggy back"

I was looking at this and it seams to be a very good product. Especailly for people with fairly basic setups. And a way better alternative to those looking for AFC's. I think it is somewhat similar to greddy E-manage(which from what I have scene fails for 240s)

Who has experience with and and what do you think about it?

In my opinion, it looks to have WAY more options, more adjustability, and to be safer(tuning wise) then an AFC. I have no first hand experience with it yet. Its a bit more expensive, then a AFC, but..........

I heard it's good...but I havent used one yet.

I really prefer something that allows to you adjust the timing table for real values though.

Not manipulate a signal.

However this would be the best way to do it because you are manipulating the OUT signal, not the IN to the ecu.

Fuck Gayem.
it's all about APC.

Just kidding. all in all it is a ECU that has great adjustibilty and tuning options for being a piggyback ECU. A friend of mine is running one with no problems whatsoever. I would definetly look into it.

And as far as Greddy E-Manage being junk i would definetly not go as far as to say that. It's all in the tuning on that one.

I didn't mean to really call it "junk". Everyone over on KA-T that has had it gave up, with using it on their KA-T setups. We shall see, my friend just bought it for his KA-T setup maybe they changed something. I think it was the sameway for the SR20 as well. But I have scene them do good things on other applications.

FYI, there is a difference from greddy emanage blue and greddy emanage ultimate. Everyone given up on the Blue, but the ultimate, there is still a crowd that runs it.

Any Clamping tuning solution(SAFC,Emanage) is junk.

The nice thing about the AEM PIC is that it takes the factory signal and remaps it. Generating it's own signal instead of trimming(clamping) the factory signal.

Nissans tend to adjust their timing based on the MAP/MAF inputs. Clamping them tends to lead to unwanted timing advance. Which is why people blow their engines even though they were pig rich.

I have used the E Manage Ulti with very good luck.
The problem from what I have seen, seems to be that every one wants to crank up the sample rate to max on it and over works it, then they get mad when it acts up.... Its not a standalone and its not a high end peice.. but it will do the job very well if you know what your doing.

But for that price range.... i would get the AEM..... hehe

Where is this sample rate crank up maximum?

I haven't seen it, like OVERCLOCKING IT?

That would be sick, I wonder if I can upgrade the heatsink, do some watercooling and stuff some ddr upgrades in there.
