What do you guys want???

I'm trying so find out what my fellow 240 owners would like to buy for their cars. I recently found a place to start fabbing stuff for me and i want to see what kind of products i could have made that you guys would buy. Im looking for stuff that would be something that is always looked for (popular product). We currently have a SR FMIC kit in the works as well as a upgraded radiator that will be cheaper alternatives to the ones available in the market now. We are thinking about making a SR intake manifolds (with redesigned fuel rail ... top mount fuel injector ready). As well as exhaust mani. Would you guys be interested in a SR downpipe and turbo extension pipe??? We can do KA stuff too, but i need to get some feedback on what you, the 240 drivers would want...

We also are looking into what are the most popular TURBO's that you guys are upgrading to.

THANKS

I'd like a sub $400 turbo mani for the KA DOHC that mounts a t3/t4. Log style would be fine. With the cut flange, enlarged outer bolt holes, port matched runners (though I could do it myself). Stuff that should be designed into it anyways. If you make one I'll buy it. Hell, if you send me one I'll test fit it.lol

Well, since you asked...$150 to $250 is the desired range on the manifolds.

Well if you're gonna look into making a mani for the S13, you should make a DP that would fit too!!! If you'd do this and the price for the mani was between 200-300 with the DP was between 100-150, you would have a LOT of ppl wanting them. Including me. That's assuming the quality is good for the pieces.

They don't come pre-assembled. Also, if he made a pre-assembled mani that uses a t3/t4, then he could make the DP that would go with the mani/turbo setup and line up with the cat. That in itself would be worth it, just for the fact ppl like simplicity, and instead of having a shop do it for them they could buy the pieces and they would fit.

How about some chassis stiffening pieces? Like the Do-Luck Floor support bars & ladder bar etc? Also something like the Miracle Cross brace, that connects the rear towers & C-pillars for S13 would be nice.

really, unless you live in BFE, you can get a shop to put the flange on and build a downpipe. is it really that hard?

a cast manifold for under $300 that fits properly would be better i think.

Yes, but then you have to get the car to the shop and whatnot. With a downpipe made for it it would also help sales of the mani because it would have a DP to go with it. I just suggested a range of pricing closer to competitors so that it would be cheaper but he could also make some money off of it.

If you can fab some bars similar to this design I'm sure alot of ppl will be interested. IMO it doesn't have to be as bling as these JDM ones... it's fine in my book as long as it does its job & fits right.

yes, please go with the ka-t stuff, if you did make that mani/dp combo, id order one right away...i mean there is such a market for ka-t and nobody is filling it at all...

also maybe a ka-t I/C kit? something reasonable priced, those would sell too because people are tired of making custom ones or adapting sr ones...hell you could prolly make most of a turbo kit...

please help out the ka-t people!!! there is already enough crap for the sr lol...

Muahahahaha! I finally had an idea ppl agree with! I was gonna say the IC piping thing too. It might not be so hot on a s14 as they have kits already but a s13....would sell a lot, just make sure to put a "race only" disclamer on all your parts.

with all this ka-t talk, why not build a bolt on kit
especially for the s13..
but I like the idea of and chassis stiffening ideas like the ones mentioned above, doluckXbar, miracle bar, maybe something like the nismo powerbrace, larger sways, etc etc..

Yeah the KA-T stuff definitly, especially S13 stuff (IC piping!). If you could make an exhaust manifold, downpipe and intercooler piping for s13 that will take a t3/t4 without requiring tons of butchering I'll buy it all.
