gain affects how long the wastegate is held shut in order to get to your boost target quickly. To much gain can result in boost spikes do to the wastegate no opening fast enough to regulate boost pressure.

Okay...

I have AVC-R and it is amazing...you just need to learn how to use

Go to settings and pick A or B (whichever you are using)

Turn SELF LEARN on for all 5 gears

Give it a reasonable duty to start at (maybe like 55% or so for 0.8 bar or so)

Then get some pulls in from 2500-redline in like 2nd gear or in third gear from no boost....

After a few pulls, it well automatiucally adjust duty at each RPM (if 55% is a good initial guess) so that it tries to hold 0.8 bar at all the RPM values)

When it suceeds in doing this, it will display "***" under boost duty under settings when you select A or B
