From the begining to almost completed.... UPDATE! pg.2
UPDATED PICS PAGE 2 and page 5!
This car was bought over the winter. When i purchased the car it was completely stripped (read: EVERYTHING) No interior, no chassis harness, no panels, very little sound deadening left, everything was gone. It was destined to become a drag car. The pervious owner removed the stock front rad support and front wheel arches, and welded in round bar. There is still an enormous amount of work to be done, but it runs now..lol Everything on the car has been replaced. Every bushing is poly, all suspension arms have been replaced or strenghtened. All of the engine bay chassis wiring was relocated under the dash including the 2 fuse boxes. Nick from Omega Motive and Marshall from Street Dynamics both helped with the build. Nick designed and fabricated the intake manifold and Marshall Designed and fabricated the turbo manifold, and I/C piping. They helped me out a lot and were a big part of making this car a success. In the following pics it still needs paint, aero fitted and installed, and a crap ton of small details worked out, but I thought I'd post the most recent progress. Enjoy. P.S. Thanks for the pics Bryan. First thing i did was test fit s14 dash and door panels. Kinda fit..lol Hard Race roll center adjusters: Thanks to Logan @ ASPEC for the hook up on these! ![]() ![]() Kazama Coilovers... Last edited by spools14; 01-25-2008 at 02:57 PM.. |

wow, I guess a striped car CAN look good!,
on the other hand, this might sound stupid, but I dont know this, is there any reason why this pipe is welded instead of just bent. |

wow.... i'm very impressed w/ your build... it looks like you really took your time in planning and researching before putting it all together... well done...
one question though... what kind of gains are you expecting w/ that intake manifold setup?

Cool build thanks for sharing pictures and some info.
- Why does the s14 dash only "kinda" fit, it actually looks pretty damn good from the pictures. Do you have any more details on this (too lazy to research on my own) - I like the plug wire heat shield, but do you think that will heat soak from the manifold and melt your wires? - I like how you rerouted the harness on the driver's side thru the heat shield. The MAF and CPS wires always look so stupid going across the front of the motor! - What EMS and injectors are you using? |

Nice build. Kinda similar to what I'm doing. Give us a whole car shot, sitting on the ground!

Should be driving it by the end of the week. Finishing the downpipe and exhaust tomorrow. Then I need to start fitting the kit. Afterwards i'll post some pics of it outside on the ground.

I wouldn't reccomend it for a daily driver simply because I removed all of the dash venting, I also had the trim a decent amount of junk underneath the dash. This car WILL be street legal, however, it won't see much street use, it'll mainly be used at VIR. I'm sure with some more time and effort the dash vent could be retained, maybe by using a flexable hose, but i wasn't really interested in the vents working sicne it doesn't have a/c. Also, the door panels had to be modified aswell... just trial an error really. |
