skyline turbo questions??

Does anyone know the specs on a stock R34 skyline turbo? i know its a t28 ball bearing and says .48 as opposed to .60 s15 turbo. and it has to be bolted to a top mount manifold. ive heard of people running between 21-25 psi with no problems whereas the s15 isnt recommended to go over 15. but does anyone know the actual max recommended boost? is anyone running them on an sr20? how much hp can u expect? interested in mounting it i also have an s15 turbo is it worth it to switch

I think you got the 2 mixed up...R34 GTR turbos dont like going over 1 bar. Ceramic fins have a tedency to explode after 1 bar...stay with the S15 turbo and boost to 1.2.

i probably will stay with the s15 turbo but how can u tell if its ceramic? looking at both turbos off the car they look identical except one says a/r.60 and a/r.48

It doesn't have to bolted to a top mount manifold but I seriously doubt someone is running 21-25 psi on those turbos.

How do you get it to bolt up to a bottom mount manifold? I tried a megan, hks, and the stock manifold. None of them fit. The compressor side runs into the runners. do you need a spacer(kinda like a flange adapter)? if not how do you re clock it because if u rotate the compressor housing there is no where to bolt the actuator

Try using an SR20 Wastegate actuator I'm pretty sure that is the solution once you clock it. I'm not familiar with R34 stuff but if it is the same as the 33's then that is money.

RB turbos are specific to RB only... you'll need to fabricate to make it work, and it's def. not worth the effort.

Ya no problem.. Its a shame tho because the turbo r34 only only has 6k miles on it where as my s15bb has like 65-70k. As for fabricaton what would be needed to make it work because a buddy of mine is interested in buying it? is it just a spacer so the runner doesnt hit the turbo and a different compressor out flange because i already made one out of an old greddy bov flange and a 90 degree bend pipe? any info will be helpful.
