Can someone help me out and let me know what are the 2 things that I have circled are for ?

looks like a condensor for tach signal or cylinder position reference,maybe a filter, or signal pick up, *shrug, tape those up in your harness and leave em alone, your ecu knows what to do with em hahah :P

i thought that thread only refered to parts like body kits and rare things?!

Looks like the resistor to the ignition coil on S14 KAs.
