ka24de rough/moderate acceleration

Hi, I'm having problems with my ka24de. When you first accelerate it has a very rough start, it spits/sputters, then once at a higher speed it runs a bit smoother...any ideas what could be causing this problem ? Already changed spark plug wires..but that's it. Think it could be a fuel problem ? maybe I need a new fuel regulator ? help please thanks

Have you checked anything out at all?
Injectors, spark plugs, electrical connections, fuses, vacuum lines, etc?
ECU throwing any codes?

do a compression test... it might be bad rings, bad valves, or a headgasket. Did you notice any smoke out the tail pipe. White smoke to be specific?
