All i know is that my car doesnt have it anymore.

Either way, it shouldnt be anywhere near your cams.

Cancer. Inoperable, incurable cancer. Hold your motor close and whisper sweet nothings into the valve cover, and give it the good ol' Notebook ending.

No clue what it is, but I read a post with a similar problem a while back. Make a necklace?

Did you have some timing chain rattle before it started growling? How many miles on the motor?

Thats one of the "harness protector" (black plastic thing) washers that sits right over the fuel rail.
