![]() A friend of mine just bought a S13 equipped with Koni coilovers/Eibach springs and really has no use for them. I was thinking about trading him my KYB adjustable shocks/springs for his Konis since my S13 is a drift only car and needs a more adjustable suspension.
What are your thoughts on the trade, would it be worth the hassle? How do Koni coilovers/Eibach springs perform? Also, I have searched around for the part numbers (1081 sports) on the coilovers and came up with shocks, not coilovers...? These are indeed coilovers correct? |

The Koni/Eibach combo is like a damper/spring combo and the Eibachs are just a sleeve job. If they're not blown then they would no doubt be better than what you have. ![]()

ah, I see. I'm not too savvy with suspension apparently, lol.
Ok, so the Konis would definitely better. They have unknown miles, and make squeaking sounds in the rear. They don't seemed to be tuned very well on the car since it is somewhat bouncy. The previous owner said they started squeaking after he pressure washed the car and the grease went away...he wasn't too bright. Is there any way to tell if they are still in good condition? |
