Anyone using an MSD 2Step?

What did you hook up the red (switched 12v) wire to?

As far as I understand as long as the red wire sees 12v Module 1 is activated and when there is no power seen Module 2 is activated.

Basics I want launch control and upper rev limit. Right now i only have launch control with using the 6AL by itself.

So you were physically turning it on/off? That's what I'm trying to avoid. I spoke to an MSD tech and he suggested connecting it to the clutch switch.

Now my problem with that is if Module 1 is activated when the clutch is pressed (3000rpm limit) then what happens when I hit the clutch and blip the gas to break traction? Won't the 2Step stop me from going over 3000rpm? Seems to me like wiring it like that...
2Step = no clutch kick action

^^^ Right but I don't want it activating when I'm clutch kicking during a drift. Seems to me if you wire it to the clutch switch it will activate everytime the clutch is pressed.

dont think of a standard on/off switch. momentary switches are very suitable for the 2 step system. I ran a push button momentary on my shifter under my knob. just press down to activate and release for instant off. dont do your clutch switch, just imagine trying to clutch kick in the mist of a slide lol.

See that was my concern with the clutch kick action. Ok I guess it's gonna be a momentary.
