SR sr only gets spark on 1st cylinder

I used to have a tuned ecu that came with the engine i swapped in 2 months ago and it ran fairly well but way too rich. All cylinders were firing. i got another ecu becuase i didnt need a tuned one already since i have a stock set up basically, just bolt ons. i plug the new one in and it doesnt start. I start with spark and fuel. i have fuel but i only get spark from the 1st cylinder. i switch coils and no matter what coil is plugged into the harness for cylinder 1 it will always spark. on cylinder 2 3 and 4 i dont get any spark at all. Anyone have any ideas? I think i got another worthless ecu.

what number is on the new ecu. Sounds like you have a Kouki ecu. If you are trying to run a kouki ecu you will only get spark on number one because the wiring pinout are different.

like a #63 ecu instead of a #62? How can i tell the difference? half the sticker is scratched of so idk what ecu it is. the 2 codes still on the sticker is A18-F80 G20 then theres the 2371060F10. All i kno is i have a stock redtop sr20 and i need the ecu to go with it.

For redtops it doesn't matter, 62 or 63 is fine.

e5 and 62/63 should work, j4 will cause it to fire on one cylinder.

maybe the tuned ECU was a J4 (kouki s13) ecu and the previous owner had the harness repined for it. And now you're trying to use the 63 (redtop) ecu and it's not working. check the harness and repin if necessary.

ITS YOUR IGNITER CHIP.....trust me if your ignighter chip is not protected from heat its more prone to fail get a new one, relocate it to a cooler spot or put some heat reflective tape on it and this one will last 4 times longer.

i kno exactly whats going on now. The tuned ecu was a number 62. This is the ecu im suppossed to use because its a 91-94 redtop m/t. The second one i received has to be a j4. I opened it up and compared it to a fried #62 ecu i have and its completely different. Ived read using the j4 will cause to fire on the first cylinder. Im waiting for the new 62 i ordered so we'll see what happens. Im 100% positive its not the ignitor. Thanks for the ideaas though.
