Unbelievably hard... You need basically EVERYTHING from the front clip, including the firewall, swapped over and welded. Custom shops usually charge $3-$5k NOT including parts...if they'll do it at all.

Selling this now too bill? Jeez you are going through 240s like nothing! Everytime i am over brian reids i see a different one sitting outside. I knew the previous owner of this car, and i have done highway pulls against him in my 400hp rx7, the car is no slouch.

how come you have the LHD windshield wipers if you did a firewall conversion? It must suck to drive in the rain with those wipers when sitting on the right side.

Actually the wipers are just fine in the rain, never had an issue whatsoever. And it was the lower part of the wirewall....not the ENTIRE thing. Its safer and makes life easier.
$9500....obo, Make it gone! |

ha This was the first RHD conversion car I did.
There were a few things that weren't done (like the wipers that someone pointed out)... because the original owner who i did the conversion for didn't care about them being switched over, and frankly it was easier to leave them that way. As already stated, the firewall from the upper seam down was removed and replaced. The reasoning for this was the original owner wanted the US VIN number to stay intact on the firewall for legality sake. IIRC the hatch/gas door pop is still on the left hand side. But as you can see the e-brake was moved to the correct side. |
