So i had to cut the carpet to get it out... at first I thought about dumping it in a huge trash can to dye it but then id have to flip it over and over so now im thinking about putting the liquid Rit Dye into a water spray bottle and spraying the carpet while its layed out. im not sure about how even its going to come out or if the dye is going to sink in though. any suggestions? thanks..

Maybe try just applying the dye to just one little section that isnt noticeable and see how it turns out

Before I went ahead and ripped the damn thing out; I would have went to like Pep Boys (where I work) and bought some carpet.  I would have then sliced that bitch up into little test squares, and tried as many applications and techniques as possible.  Then after they are all dry n stuff,  Ill choose which one I want,  use the other shit to tagg up bright green Civic with bookshelfs for wings, and used the technique I liked best on my carpet.
