I can get a great deal on some sweet used 2-piece wheels.   One thing that is bothering me, however, is the 43mm offset.  It seems to be more of a FWD offset than RWD, but the guy selling them claims the stock offset on an S13 is 40mm.  Would 43 work, or would the wheels be too far in?  These are 15x6.5, btw.

Thanks,
Vadim

They will stick out 3 mm farther than stock.

What about running 43mm with some sort of a spacer?  I'd hate to pass up this deal.  Will a spacer push the wheels out enough and be safe at the same time?

Haha. Those actually look pretty cool. You're going to need one hell of a spacer though. Probably cost you more than the wheels.

Those look like SSR MkIIIs. (MkIV?... is there such thing?) Very nice. However, are you ABBBBSOLLLUUUTEEELLLYYYY sure they're 4x114.3 (4 on 4 1/2) and not 4x100? I saw a set of similar SSRs (if those aren't SSRs) at Alta for 4x100 FWD... and the set I really like the look except for offset and width. (Way too narrow, much too high offset.) the offset and width of the rims you're looking at sound suspiciously FWD-like.

No, they're 4x114.3, I'm sure of that.

Those rims are sweet man.  You'll probably need a couple spacers on top of each other to get those things flush.

Also, if you do get your spacers, you will probably need longer hub bolts.  IIRC, Nismo makes them in 50mm 60mm.

Nismo spacers would probably cost a pretty penny.  Hey Kanekz, are you the same guy that was selling a white 10th anniversary FC with blown apex seals in the L.A. area?

STALKER! STALKER! <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/notify.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':notify:'> Yes, I am that kanekz that WAS selling a 10th Annv RX-7 FC. Now that car has been sold though, and what a beautiful car that was. Anyways, How did you know it was me??? Where you on the rx-7 forums? This has been a CREEPY internet moment. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

BTW: I was not talking about Nismo spacers, but yet Nismo Long Hub Bolts. They will run you around $80 for all 4 tires w/5 lug.

Heh, I thought so.. I talked to you on AIM about buying it a while back, but when I showed the car to my friends, they all went insane on me for wanting rotary . &nbsp;Even my FD friend said I was biting off more than I could chew <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':0'> &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''> . &nbsp; So I gave up the FC idea and went back to the S13.
