unless you have 8 cylinders, 250+ cu. in. of displacement, SS headers and 3" straight exhaust, you'll never sound like a Moosetang...sorry Charlie.

I agree the sound of an American V8 is uniquely pleasing. However, so is the sound of my SR at full song with the turbo playing its tune...SHIFT_pppffffffffttttt!!!

Cars that are that loud, esp. on american cars, usually means their not effiecent. So I don't think you want that sound...

Bla. Will still own your ass for the same amount of money.

And to answer the question: Yes it is possible.... swap in a V8

either swap in a V8 or buy a car with a V8 in it.

now a question for you...
where did you get that spoiler on your nissan? looks like a good aftermarket touch but not as big as the bomex or D.speed. very nice.

you know many people have asked me that as well.. and i don't know.. i want to know myself so i can get another one, this ones a little chipped all over. it looks like a whale tail w/o the bulk and kinda looks like the old eclispe spolier.

it might be from erebuni since the front lip is from there.. also came w/ the car.

I am not that sure about the "owning" statement I have raced plenty-o-'stang and the only one I give props to are the Saleen and the Roush (got owned by both ) The 5.0 GT sounds nice but are slow and the '00 Cobra I put up a damn good fight but it had top end. It was dead even through 3 gears

Now to look at it from the Cobra drivers perspective:
Him: Holy shit I had to work hard to pull on the 240. You mean I paid 34k+ to almost get beat by a 240.

Me: Holy shit I almost took a Cobra in my $5500 240.

If you want the sound go for the moosestang if you want the pleasure of putting a priceless look on a 'stang owners face then get a turbo

FYI-A KA-T will walk me w/ my SR so you make the choice sound or power

Kreator, I know you are a big proponent of the V8s but I love a sleeper 240

Hey nrcooled, i'm building one myself lol

I know, it's always fun. All i'm saying is that the cars you raced were prolly stock. Now comparing an s13 240 that cost really little to a brand new mustang price wise, would be unfair. If you drop the buying costs and look at the price you payed for the sr - say 2500 - that's what the supercharger for the muscle cars costs. I bet then u'd be seeing their taillights

edit: i realized what the misunderstanding was. You guys thought i meant overall costs. I actually only meant money invested in the car.

the closest i ever got to it was a 3" trust dd exhaust on a ka24e... i dont even want to imagine how loud it would be without the cat. it rumbled like hell. shook all the windows in my house when i came home.

umm... you do realize a mildly modified car, no matter what it is, will not be very effiecent right?

Actually adding just mild performance parts can INCREASE efficiency. As long as you have a good air/fuel ratio at the stock psi and with all the stock fuel components.
