If I were to drop a sr20det in my 1995 240 sx se, how much drama would it be? does the engine just fit right in? do i have to change the tranny? what about the intercooler.......I heard somewhere what the intercooler does not fit right, on american 240's.......something about the hood not shutting right...is this true? I thought that everything just fit right on without no problems.

it will fit straight in. you'll need little things, like extensions on the wiring harness (holes in firewall on wrong side). You can use either tranny, depending on which one has lower miles, they're both the same. as long as you have a FULL swap, with side mount intercooler (read: front clip), you can just rip everything out and drop it in.

I have always heard people say that when you do a swap you should always have 1000 -1500 extra just incase something goes wrong and a beater to drive around wouldn't hurt either.

If you are in California LA area and decide to perform the swap yourself, and get stuck on the wiring let us know.

We will have our wiring guru to wire you up. He charge $350 though, but to door service and wiring is guaranteed.
