Hey guys, in my efforts to sell my FD I was offered a 04 ZX-10 crotch rocket. I am seriously considering trading for it then trading for S-chassis car.

I want to know how you guys would respond for it as a trade before i get it

If you are interested or want dibbs let me know.

here are some stock pictures

As a Kawi owner, if the bike has reasonable mileage and the services have been done I would say go for it. Goodluck!

Using a term like "crotch rocket" I can tell this would be your first bike. If you get this bike you better take it easy, this is an extremely fast bike, handles like a dream but could very easily be the death of you, I say go for it! Be safe!!

Since you know how to ride. I would say do it. you obviously know that with a bike you are limited to what you can carry in a backpack. But ive been riding an r6 for 10 months and i must say I loved* it more than my car.

* (I wrecked it)

but sucks that in AZ you dont have lane splitting =]
And im sure you know that even if the bike has higher milage like 20K, it doesnt matter as long as it was taken care of. I bought my R6 with 10,000mi, and when i wrecked it its had 20,000mi and ran just as great. Good luck with whatever you choose. I also suggest you have a backup car.

Also i believe those zx-10's come with a slipper clutch which is a plus. They are the only liter bike built in 04 with em'

Sorry the fact that you called your past bikes "gixxers" labels you as a squid. Nothing wrong with that but you will loop that bike in a heart beat. I think you will have a harder time tradeing a bike for a car. Keep trying to sell your FD is my .02 cents.

I know AFM racers who still use the word gixxer.

So fuck off.

LOOP a bike? Happens rarely.

Now, target fixation and lowsides, that's something highly common.

Jesus! What are you 2? Looping a ZX10 rarely hugh? Grab a fist full in 2nd hold it and see what happens. Especially a 1st gen 10. Damn. Try reading a bit on ZX-10r.net or anything else that knows anything about a 10r. Stock it will pull it up in 3rd. I am sick of seeing "kids" buy a bike cause they think they can ride and wrap them selves around a tree. Fixing your eyes on that barrier is something that may happen to a squid but low sides? More like high side's when the squid grabs too much throttle when on the edge of the patch. Riding wide because they think they can't hold a line and hit the wall or the poor guy on the outside. Again. Keep the car and do not think you can trade the bike for car that easy.
